this is great!
instead of the water being typically blue, it's got organge-copper-ruset.
i love it when things can be seen differently like this, out of the typicall.

I think, of all the manipulations you've done so far this one is your best. The blending and color scheme in this piece is really wonderful.

What by chance is that red part in the mid-lower right of the photo?

Super intense! One of the hardest things for me with photomanipulation was blending photos well, and blending the right photos (with the right light, perspective, etc.) These actually look really good together, the colors are great! Actually, the same for "Kai Akua", it has really impressive blending work. I think part of what gives the surreal look here is the lighting. Though I also think this one was a big step up in your manip work. Keep it up man.

Thanx alot. I find that now days, I do more shooting of photo's with an alterior motive in mind, almost like I can envision a scene without really seeing it yet. I think this particular style will be one of my new trademarks.

How do you get these sideways shots of the waves? is there a pier or something? Or do you just have special equipment?

I'm shooting from the side of a road as the wave comes into a bay.
I would consider the 600mm lens a special piece of equipment.
Me shooting the wave vertically, is what seperates me from the 15 other photogs shooting it horizontally.
