Description
This is a gauge I created to help put the height of this wave into perspective, I call it the Big Wave Meter. Although the face of this wave is aproximately 20 feet high, we measure the wave from the back, making this wave only about 10-12 feet.

I don't agree with measuring the wave from the back because what about waves like Teahupoo, 4ft measured from the back but 20ft on the face? Great photo!
